AHP Merkle has been main sponsor of the Freiburg Soccer School since the 2021/22 season started. The family-owned company manufacturing hydraulic cylinders in Gottenheim, South Baden, has been a partner of the soccer club for many years and has now expanded its long-term sponsorship commitment to SC Freiburg. The term 'responsibility' plays a central role in AHP Merkle's corporate culture. Apart from training and supporting youngsters, this also covers topics such as environmental protection, sustainability, and social commitment. Renate Merkle founded the "Renate Merkle Foundation" in 2002. It conducts aid projects in the underprivileged Ukrainian mining towns of Chervonograd and Sosnivka, thus helping people to improve their quality of life by donating bread and providing hands-on support.
