Shear cutting oder wedge cutting
Cutting processes are usually divided into two categories – shear cutting and wedge cutting. Shear cutting employs a cutting edge that forms a crack, thus causing the material to tear apart.
Wedge cutting, on the other hand, employs two wedge-shaped cutting edges that cut through the sheet at a defined cutting angle.
